The opening lines made me thing of the first section of The Pale King - David Foster Wallace. He tells us to pay attention to the often overlooked thigs in nature - although he does it in a much better way than how I did here.
It's surprising to me that this very distinctly non-Christian poem, ends with a phrase loaded with Christian meaning, and yet the phrase doesn't feel at all out of place.

I didn't realize it was a Christian thing until you told me and it's interesting because our Indigenous religion mixed with Christianity here
