Hello, Lovely Soul Drop! How are you feeling?
Take a deep breath…let go.
Take another deep breath…let go.
Take one last deep breath…let go.
Great!
I chose Wednesdays and Sundays to publish in this newsletter! I have no idea why, but I hated Wednesdays back when I was in school. I felt the day was stuck in the middle. I thought they were slow and boring. Sundays felt the same way. On the other hand, I adored Mondays because they made me feel revitalized! Now? I can’t even tell which day is which.
I’m using my podcast, my blog, and my newsletter to give myself a task for each day. I’m no longer formally studying, and freelancing can make you feel like you lost your sense of time. January also feels eternal for a lot of people. Slow, stiff, and even boring. That’s all right. Our inner processes don’t really follow the calendar to function. We feel the way we feel, and that’s it.
Instead of writing better due to Grammarly, it has become harder for me to write because I’m focusing too much on the errors instead of allowing myself to write. I strangle my own creativity, and I think this hyper-fixation of being perfect is part of the reason January can feel so heavy at times. We feel like we should be better this year, we have to accomplish many things, and we should be the person we wish to be. Are you working to get to your goals? Are you trying to improve day by day? If yes, that’s more than enough. If not, why not? Work on it instead of attacking yourself.
When we become adults we have to learn how to parent ourselves. We have to balance how much we should push ourselves and when we have to allow ourselves to breathe. Yes, my writing isn’t perfect and I do need to learn how to improve the Grammar and structure, but if I push myself too hard I will stop writing as a whole. As I often say, it’s all about balance. Sometimes we have to push, and sometimes we have to let go.
Sometimes, I feel like no one cares or likes my work, but I enjoy it. I focus on that and push myself gently to keep working on them. Thank you for reading, and for supporting my work. I know we all have those moments of doubt, yet if we continue walking we get closer to our goals. Little by little, we get better. It doesn’t happen overnight, so please have patience. I hope the time you use to read my words is peaceful for you. My main goal is to help others as we’re learning and growing. The world can be dark, so let’s be light in each other’s paths.
With much love,
Belle Moon.
